First of all it helps drive traffic to the Yougler site.. duh! But secondly, it is an experiment to see how much it can improve Yougler’s organic search results for the keyword phrase “email forward”. Before the press release Yougler was not ranked in the top 100 results for this key phrase. It will interesting to see if the press release improves on that result. Several links to Yougler in the press release are attached to the words “email forward”. As stated earlier it will be interesting to see what impact this has. Stay tuned!

Positioning Yougler as Web 2.0 tool is also a new angle. If you read the press release, it makes a very strong case for Yougler as a better way to communicate in the Web 2.0 world. I won’t repeat it here. Maybe this tag will help generate some momentum too.

netlatch--
I have been trying to come up with a way to explain in as few words as possible what it is that Yougler does. This is because readers will only read a few words before they go on to something else. The best way to explain something new is to say it is like so and so. The problem with that is often it gives people the wrong idea.

Yougler is a mail forward but mail forward means many things. It could mean going to the post office and having them forward your mail. It could also mean setting up an email account to forward email to another email account. Yougler is neither of these. It could mean setting up a web page on a web site to forward a message to a hidden email address. Many web sites have this because it prevents spam. Yes that is what Yougler is BUT only partly so.

Then it came to me. Yougler is not a web page forwarded to an email address but an email address linked forward to any web page. The same you say? Yes and no. The purpose of a the old fashioned mail forward is to send messages for a particular web site to a particular email address. There is only one line of communication possible, from the web site to the web site owner. Yougler, on the other hand, is a way for an email address owner to get messages from any or many different web sites. Multiple lines of communication and multiple web sites. And yes just like the traditional mail forward, Yougler blocks spam.

So back to the original problem. What do you call something, in as few words as possible, that is really not like anything else. Well, I came up with calling what Yougler does Email Linked Forward or ELF for short. I like that name because it is an easy acronym to remember but also because it emphases the difference between the traditional mail forward and Yougler. Think of Yougler as a way to transform an email address into a link that others can forward messages through.

Don’t think in the direction of the web site to the email address but of the email address to the web site, any web site, many websites.

netlatch--
Email-Forwarding, Web-Page-Profiles
Sounds complicated but it is really just a web page.

Because it is a web page it has a URL which means you can link to it.

But it’s also a special kind of web page that you can link to because it has a built-in mail forward.

Because it is a special kind of web page that you can link to that has a built-in mail forward, you can use it instead of an email address on the Internet.

Because it is a special kind of web page that you can link to that has a built-in mail forward that you can use instead of an email address on the Internet, you can stop getting spam.

Search Engine Optimized
It’s not just a web page, it’s a profile that you can personalize.

Because it is a web page that is a profile that you can personalize, you can also add information about yourself for people to read before they contact you.

Because it is a web page that is a profile that you can personalize and add information about yourself for people to read before they contact you, it can also be indexed by the search engines.

Because it is a web page that is a profile that you can personalize and add information about yourself for people to read before they contact you that can also be indexed by the search engines, people can now find you in the first place they look… the Internet.

Because of all that, they can simply google your name and send you an email.

Because of all that, they no longer need to know your email address.

Because of all that, you no longer need to worry about what happens when you change email addresses.

Because of all that, you no longer need to give out your email address or worry about spam.

It’s Free and Easy and More
It’s not just a web page, it’s a profile with a built-in mail forward.

It’s not just a web page that is a profile with a built-in mail forward, it is also free and easy to create.

Because it’s not just a web page that is a profile with a built-in mail forward that is also free and easy to create, you can create multiple profiles.

Because it’s not just a web page that is a profile with a built-in mail forward that is also free and easy to create so that you can create multiple profiles, you can create different profiles for different online personas.

Because it’s not just a web page that is a profile with a built-in mail forward that is also free and easy to create so that you can create multiple profiles and you can create different profiles for different online personas, you can also create a profile that says nothing about you but still allows others to contact you because you can never be too safe.

Because it’s not just a web page that is a profile with a built-in mail forward that is also free and easy to create so that you can create multiple profiles and you can create different profiles for different online personas while you can also create a profile that says nothing about you but still allow others to contact you because you can never be too safe, you can also point all of your profile’s messages to a single, private email account.

Because of all that, you can easily wear as many hats that fit.

The good news in the last 10 days. A big jump in both the Alexa Traffic Rank and the Google Page Rank. Going from 0 to 2 in Google page ranking is a 20% jump since the highest attainable ranking is 10. It was an even bigger jump in the Alexa Traffic Ranking which is a three month average. This current month the traffic rank is in the 300k range, so this should go up some next month.

The bad news. No significant increase in users (registered members) or uses (mail received). I have elected to keep those numbers private.
